Devil's Lake State Park
Devil's Lake State Park is Wisconsin's largest and most-visited state park, set around a clear lake wrapped by tall stone bluffs. Ancient purple and pink quartzite cliffs rise straight up from the water.
It is famous for its dramatic cliffs that are more than a billion years old and its sparkling beaches. Families hike to the top for huge views, swim in the summer, and spot climbers scaling the rocks.

The pink and purple rock walls are among the oldest exposed rocks in North America, over a billion years old. Trails lead to lookout points where you can see the whole lake below.
Swimming and Beaches
Two sandy beaches sit at each end of the lake, perfect for splashing on a hot day. The water is clear and calm, great for young swimmers and paddle boats.
Fall Colors
In autumn the forests around the bluffs turn brilliant red, orange, and gold. Hiking the trails during fall is one of the most beautiful times to visit.
