Harpers Ferry National Historical Park
Harpers Ferry is a beautifully preserved old town where two great rivers, the Potomac and the Shenandoah, meet between tall mountains. Its cobblestone streets and brick buildings look much like they did in the 1800s.
It is famous as an important place in American history, especially during the Civil War era. Visitors love exploring the museums, hiking the trails, and standing at the point where three states almost touch.

Where Rivers Meet
Two rivers join right at the town, and you can watch kayakers and tubers float by on warm days. The famous Appalachian Trail passes right through, so hikers stop here to rest.
Mountain Views
A short climb up to Jefferson Rock rewards you with a wide view of the rivers and green hills. In autumn the whole valley turns gold, orange, and red.
