United States Capitol
The United States Capitol is the beautiful white building with a giant round dome where Congress meets to make the country's laws. It sits on a small hill at the east end of the National Mall.
It is famous as the heart of American government and one of the most recognized buildings in the world. Visitors can take free tours to see the grand rotunda and its painted ceiling.
