National Mall
The National Mall is a huge open park in the middle of the city, lined with grassy lawns, shady trees, and famous monuments. It stretches for about two miles between the Capitol and the Lincoln Memorial.
It is loved as 'America's front yard,' where families picnic, fly kites, and visit many free museums in one place. Big celebrations, festivals, and fireworks happen here every year.
