National Air and Space Museum
The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is filled with real airplanes, rockets, and spacecraft hanging from the ceilings and standing on the floor. It tells the story of how people learned to fly and travel to space.
It is one of the most visited museums in the world and is free to enter. Kids and grown-ups can touch a real Moon rock and see the plane the Wright brothers flew.
