Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach is a sunny seaside city with miles of soft sand along the Atlantic Ocean. Its lively three-mile boardwalk is lined with shops, restaurants, and a famous statue of King Neptune.

It is loved for swimming, building sandcastles, and biking along the ocean breeze. Families come from all over to splash in the waves, watch dolphins offshore, and enjoy fun events all summer long.

Beach fun

The wide sandy beach is perfect for swimming, building sandcastles, and flying kites in the ocean wind. Gentle waves make it a friendly place for kids to play at the water's edge.

Ocean wildlife

Playful dolphins often swim just off the shore, and boat tours take visitors out to see them up close. In winter you might even spot giant humpback whales spouting water in the distance.

The boardwalk

A long boardwalk runs beside the sand with a bike path, ice cream stands, and street performers. The famous 34-foot King Neptune statue watches over the beach and is a favorite spot for photos.
