Mount Vernon
Mount Vernon was the riverside home of George Washington, the very first U.S. president. The grand white mansion overlooks the Potomac River and is surrounded by farms, gardens, and stables.
It is loved because you can see how Washington lived, farmed, and even visit the spot where he rests. Families enjoy the friendly farm animals, the working blacksmith shop, and the beautiful views over the water.
