Quechee Gorge
Quechee Gorge is Vermont's deepest gorge, a rocky canyon carved by a river over thousands of years. A bridge crosses high above it, giving amazing views down to the water below.
It is often called Vermont's Little Grand Canyon and is loved for its dramatic cliffs and rushing river. Visitors enjoy hiking down to the bottom and looking up at the tall stone walls.
The Deep Canyon
The gorge drops about 165 feet down to the river, making it the deepest in Vermont. Standing on the bridge you can watch the water flow far below.
Hiking Trails
Easy trails wind through the woods and lead down to the riverbank. Families can walk to the bottom and dip their toes in the cool water.
Fall Foliage
In autumn the forest around the gorge bursts into red and gold. It becomes one of the most beautiful and popular photo spots in the state.
