Capitol Reef National Park

Capitol Reef protects a giant wrinkle in the earth called the Waterpocket Fold, full of colorful cliffs, domes, and canyons. Hidden inside is Fruita, a green historic village with orchards planted by early pioneers.

Visitors love picking fresh apples, peaches, and cherries in the orchards and tasting homemade fruit pie. The park is also known for ancient rock art left by Native people long ago.
