A little history
Mormon pioneers settled the Salt Lake Valley in 1847, and Utah became the 45th state in 1896. The first transcontinental railroad was completed here in 1869.
Fun fact
The Great Salt Lake is much saltier than the ocean, and Utah's mountain snow is so good it is printed on the license plates.
