Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Guadalupe Mountains National Park holds the highest peak in all of Texas. Its tall mountains rose from an ancient sea reef made of coral long ago.

These mountains were once a coral reef under a warm sea millions of years ago. You can still find fossils of tiny sea creatures in the rock.
