Tennessee Aquarium
The Tennessee Aquarium sits along the river in downtown Chattanooga. It has two big glass buildings, one for freshwater rivers and one for the ocean, full of fish, turtles, and other water animals.
It is famous as one of the best freshwater aquariums in the world and a fun family day out. Kids love the playful otters, the shark tank, and the butterfly garden that flutters with color.

One building follows a drop of water from mountain streams to the sea, showing animals from each home.

In the ocean building you can watch sharks glide by and even gently touch stingrays in a special pool.

River otters splash, tumble, and chase each other, making them a favorite stop for little visitors.
