Ruby Falls is a tall, glowing waterfall hidden deep inside a cave under Lookout Mountain near Chattanooga. Visitors ride an elevator down and walk through winding cave passages to reach it.
It is famous as one of the tallest underground waterfalls open to the public in America. Kids and grown-ups love the colorful lights that make the water shimmer inside the dark cave.
The 145-foot waterfall drops inside a cave more than 1,000 feet below the top of the mountain.
The cave stays around 60 degrees all year, so it is a comfy adventure in summer or winter.
Along the walk you can spot stalactites and stalagmites shaped like animals, drapes, and towers.
