Block Island
Block Island is a small island about 13 miles off the Rhode Island coast, reached by ferry. It is known for sandy beaches, tall bluffs, and old lighthouses.
People love it as a peaceful getaway with clean beaches, biking trails, and no big crowds. Much of the island is protected nature, so it stays wild and beautiful.

Scenery
The Mohegan Bluffs are tall clay cliffs with a long stairway down to the beach. Green rolling hills and stone walls cover the rest of the island.

Activities
Families rent bikes to explore, swim at Crescent Beach, and visit two historic lighthouses. The ferry ride from the mainland is an adventure by itself.

Wildlife
The island is a resting spot for many migrating birds each year. You might see seals near the rocks and shorebirds along the sand.
