Duquesne Incline
The Duquesne Incline is a historic cable railway in Pittsburgh that carries little wooden cars up a steep hillside. From the top, riders get one of the best views of the city and its three rivers.
It is beloved as a ride from long ago that still works today, over 140 years old. People love the famous overlook where Pittsburgh's skyline and rivers meet.

The Ride

History
The incline was built over 140 years ago to help workers climb the hill. You can still see its original machines turning at the top station.
