Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge

Climbing Mount Scott
A winding road leads to the top of Mount Scott, a rocky peak where you can see for miles across lakes and prairie. On a clear day the view goes so far it feels like you are on top of the world.
Prairie Dog Town
Little furry prairie dogs live in a big underground town and pop up to squeak and stand on their back legs like tiny guards. Watching them chase and play is one of the most fun things kids can do at the refuge.
