The Myriad Botanical Gardens is a big, green park in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City with flowers, ponds, and a giant glass tube full of tropical plants called the Crystal Bridge. Families can splash in water fountains, walk winding paths, and see palm trees growing indoors.
It is famous for the Crystal Bridge Conservatory, a see-through tunnel where you feel like you are walking through a rainforest. Kids love the splash fountains in summer and ice skating in winter, so there is fun all year long.
This long glass building holds hundreds of tropical plants, a small waterfall, and even a spot where you feel warm and misty like a jungle. You can walk high up on a skywalk and look down at giant leaves and colorful flowers.
In warm months, water jets shoot up from the ground and kids run and giggle right through them to stay cool. When it gets cold, part of the garden turns into a shiny ice rink for skating with friends and family.
Soft grassy hills, calm ponds, and beds of bright flowers fill the outdoor part of the gardens all through spring and summer. You might spot ducks paddling in the water or butterflies floating from bloom to bloom.
