Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Cuyahoga Valley National Park is Ohio's only national park, spread along the winding Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron. It is filled with forests, waterfalls, meadows, and a historic railroad.
It is loved for Brandywine Falls, a tall and graceful waterfall, and for a scenic train ride through the valley. Families come to bike the towpath trail, watch wildlife, and enjoy nature close to the city.
Brandywine Falls
The park's star waterfall drops sixty feet down layered rock and can be seen from a wooden boardwalk. The rushing water and misty air make it a favorite photo spot.
Scenic Railroad
A vintage train chugs through the valley so you can enjoy the views without walking far. You can even bring a bike, ride the trail, and hop on the train to come back.
Trails and Wildlife
Flat, easy paths follow the old canal towpath, perfect for walking, biking, and spotting herons and turtles. In every season the wetlands and forests are full of animals and birds to discover.
