Letchworth State Park
Letchworth State Park is a giant nature park in western New York, often called the Grand Canyon of the East. A deep river gorge with three big waterfalls winds through tall cliffs and forests.
It is famous for its dramatic cliffs, roaring waterfalls, and endless hiking trails through the woods. Families love it for camping, rafting, and watching colorful hot-air balloons float over the gorge.

Three thundering waterfalls tumble down the deep rocky gorge carved by the Genesee River. Lookout points along the edge give breathtaking views straight down into the canyon.
Fall Colors
In autumn the whole forest turns brilliant red, orange, and gold, painting the hills in warm colors. It is one of the most beautiful times to visit and take a hike.

Families can hike winding trails, splash on a whitewater raft trip, or camp under the stars. In good weather colorful hot-air balloons drift gently over the gorge.
