Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument

The Gila Cliff Dwellings are ancient stone homes tucked inside caves high on a canyon wall. The Mogollon people built them about 700 years ago.

Visitors love hiking up to walk inside real rooms where families once cooked and slept. The dwellings sit deep in a wild forest full of hot springs and rivers.
