Liberty State Park

Liberty State Park

Liberty State Park is a big green park right on the water in Jersey City, with wide open lawns and long walking paths. From here you can look across the harbor at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

It is famous for its stunning view of the Statue of Liberty and the New York City skyline. Families love the ferry rides, the science center, and the wide space to run, bike, and fly kites.

Harbor Views

You can see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the tall buildings of New York City all from the shoreline. A ferry takes visitors right out to Lady Liberty for a closer look.

History

The old railroad terminal here once welcomed millions of immigrants who arrived by boat long ago. Walking through it feels like stepping back in time.
