White Mountain National Forest
The White Mountain National Forest is a huge protected wilderness covering much of northern New Hampshire. It is filled with tall peaks, rushing rivers, and quiet forest trails.
It is famous for the Kancamagus Highway, a scenic road that glows with color in autumn. Hikers, campers, and leaf-peepers come from all over to enjoy its wild beauty.
