Going-to-the-Sun Road
Going-to-the-Sun Road is a famous mountain road that crosses the middle of Glacier National Park. It climbs over a high pass and gives riders amazing views the whole way.
It is loved as one of the most beautiful drives in all of America. Cars wind past waterfalls, tunnels, and cliffs so high you feel like you are driving into the clouds.

The Drive
The road curves along steep cliffs and crosses Logan Pass at the very top of the mountains.

Cold streams tumble down the rocks right beside the road, sometimes splashing the passing cars.

So much snow falls that the road is only fully open in summer, after crews clear the deep drifts.
