Meramec Caverns
Meramec Caverns is a huge underground cave near Sullivan filled with amazing rock shapes. Guides lead visitors on walking tours deep inside the cool, dark tunnels.
It is famous for its towering stone curtains and colorful lights that make the cave sparkle. Legend says the outlaw Jesse James once hid in these very caves.
