Clark Creek Natural Area

Clark Creek Natural Area is a wild, hilly forest in southwest Mississippi filled with waterfalls. Hiking trails lead you up and down steep, shady slopes to more than 50 hidden waterfalls.

It is famous for having some of the only real waterfalls in the whole state, which surprises many visitors. Adventurous families love splashing in the cool creeks and exploring the lush green canyons.

Waterfalls

There are more than 50 waterfalls tucked into the green forest, some tall and some small. Splashing in the cool pools below them is a favorite thing to do on a warm day.

Scenery

The land here is steep and hilly, unlike the flat parts of Mississippi, with tall trees and ferns everywhere. It feels like a secret rainforest full of green.

Wildlife

The forest is home to deer, colorful birds, salamanders, and butterflies. Keep your eyes open and you might spot little creatures near the streams.
