The Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley is home to hundreds of animals from cold and warm places all around the world. It is special because many animals live in large outdoor spaces that feel like their real homes.
It is loved for its Northern Trail where you can see animals that enjoy cold weather, like tigers, bears, and wild horses. A high walkway called the Treetop Trail lets you stroll above the animals through the trees.
The zoo is famous for animals that love the cold, like the striped Amur tiger, wild takin, and shaggy Bactrian camels.
A long walking path built high in the air lets you look down on the animals from the level of the treetops.
Inside the tropical building you can watch sharks, sea otters, and colorful fish swim in big glass tanks.
