Minnehaha Falls
Minnehaha Falls is a beautiful 53-foot waterfall right inside the city of Minneapolis. It sits in a leafy park with walking paths, a creek, and old stone bridges.
It is famous because a poet named it in a beloved old poem, and now it is one of the most visited spots in the city. In winter the falls freeze into a sparkling wall of ice that visitors love to see.

You can reach this tall waterfall by bus or bike, then follow a stairway down to the pool at the bottom.

When it gets very cold, the falling water turns to ice and forms giant frozen columns you can walk up close to see.
