Pikes Peak State Park

Pikes Peak State Park

Pikes Peak State Park sits on a tall bluff above the Mississippi River near McGregor and offers some of the best views in all of Iowa. A boardwalk trail leads to overlooks, a pretty waterfall, and colorful rock layers.

It is famous and loved because from its high bluff you can see the wide river, green valleys, and even the state of Wisconsin across the water. The easy boardwalk and gentle waterfall make it a favorite for families who love big scenic views.
