Brown County State Park
Brown County State Park is the largest state park in Indiana, filled with rolling hills, thick forests, and winding trails. People call it the Little Smokies because it looks like a smaller version of the Smoky Mountains.
It is loved most in autumn when the trees turn brilliant red, orange, and gold. Visitors hike, ride horses, and enjoy views from tall lookout towers.
Fall Colors
In October the whole park glows with red and gold leaves, and it becomes very popular. Families drive and hike just to see the beautiful colors.
Horseback Riding
The park has miles of trails made just for horses, and you can take a guided ride. Clip-clopping through the forest feels like stepping into a storybook.
Lookout Towers
Tall stone and wooden towers let you climb up for a wide view over the treetops. On a clear day you can see hills rolling on and on.
