Willis Tower Skydeck
Willis Tower is one of the tallest buildings in the United States, rising high above the Chicago skyline. Near the very top is the Skydeck, an observation floor where you can see for miles.
It is famous for The Ledge, glass boxes that stick out from the building so you can stand on clear floor with the city 1,353 feet below your feet. On a clear day you can see four different states at once.
The Glass Ledge
The Ledge is a set of see-through glass boxes hanging over the edge of the tower. Standing on the clear floor feels like floating in the air, and it is safe and strong.
Big Views
From the top you look down on Lake Michigan, tiny cars, and buildings that suddenly seem small. On very clear days you can spot Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
A Very Tall Ride
A fast elevator zips you up 103 floors in about a minute, so your ears might pop. The building sways gently in strong wind, which is normal for very tall towers.
