Navy Pier
Navy Pier is a long, lively boardwalk that stretches out into Lake Michigan in Chicago. It is packed with rides, food, boats, gardens, and things to do for the whole family.
It is famous for its towering Centennial Ferris wheel that lifts you high above the sparkling lake. Families love the summer fireworks over the water and riding boats out onto Lake Michigan.
The Ferris Wheel
The big Ferris wheel stands about 200 feet tall and turns slowly so you can enjoy the view. From the top you can see the whole city, the lake, and boats far below.
Boats and Water
Boats leave the pier for lake cruises, and speedboats bounce over the waves. In summer, colorful fireworks light up the sky above the water twice a week.
Fun for Everyone
The pier has a carousel, a swinging wave ride, a fun house, and street performers. There are also gardens and plenty of tasty snacks along the walkway.
