Millennium Park
Millennium Park is a giant outdoor park in the heart of downtown Chicago. It is filled with public art, gardens, fountains, and open lawns where families gather all year.
It is famous for Cloud Gate, the shiny silver sculpture everyone calls 'The Bean,' which reflects the city skyline like a mirror. People love taking funny pictures in its curves and splashing at the face-shaped fountains nearby.
The Bean
Cloud Gate is made of polished stainless steel and has no seams, so it looks like a giant drop of liquid metal. You can walk right underneath it and watch your reflection stretch and swirl.
Fun Activities
In summer kids splash in the Crown Fountain, where two towers show huge video faces that spout water. In winter the same park turns into a free ice-skating rink under the city lights.
Music and Gardens
The park has a curvy silver band shell where free concerts play on warm evenings. Nearby the Lurie Garden bursts with flowers, bees, and butterflies in a quiet green corner.
