Lincoln Park Zoo
Lincoln Park Zoo is a friendly animal park right in the middle of Chicago, and best of all it is free to enter. It has been welcoming families and their favorite animals for more than 150 years.
It is famous as one of the oldest zoos in the country and for its gorillas, lions, and playful penguins. Families love that they can visit for free any day and see amazing animals up close.

You can see gorillas, lions, zebras, penguins, and a whole barn of farm animals. The gorilla family is a favorite, with babies that swing and tumble while everyone watches.
Free and Fun
The zoo never charges an entrance fee, so families can come back again and again. There is also a small farm where kids can learn how cows, goats, and chickens live.

The zoo sits in a leafy park with flowers, ponds, and shady paths to stroll. In winter it sparkles with thousands of holiday lights for a magical evening walk.
