City of Rocks National Reserve

City of Rocks is a magical landscape of huge, rounded granite rocks scattered across southern Idaho. Some of the smooth stone towers are as tall as buildings and have stood for millions of years.

It is famous as one of the best rock climbing places in America and was a landmark for pioneers long ago. Families love hiking among the strange rock shapes and finding hidden nooks and arches.
