Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta is one of the largest aquariums in the world, filled with millions of gallons of water and thousands of animals. Visitors walk through glass tunnels while sharks, rays, and huge fish glide right over their heads.
It is famous for being one of the only places outside Asia where you can see gentle whale sharks, the biggest fish in the sea. Families also love the playful beluga whales, the sea otters, and the dolphin show.
Amazing Animals
The huge Ocean Voyager tank holds whale sharks and giant manta rays swimming in clear blue water. You can also meet beluga whales, sea otters, penguins, and a wall of colorful jellyfish that glow like lanterns.
Touch and Learn
At the touch pools children can gently feel real sea stars, shrimp, and small stingrays with their fingertips. Friendly guides explain how each animal lives and how we can help keep the oceans clean.
Shows and Fun
A lively dolphin presentation lets you watch these clever swimmers leap and play. There is also a 4-D theater with wind and bubbles that makes you feel like you are right inside the story.
