Centennial Olympic Park
Centennial Olympic Park is a bright, lively green space in the heart of downtown Atlanta. It was built for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games and is now a gathering spot for families all year round.
It is famous for its dancing Fountain of Rings, where water leaps up in the shape of the Olympic symbol. Kids love running through the cool spraying water, and the park sits right next to many of Atlanta's top attractions.
Fountain of Rings
The famous fountain shoots water in the pattern of the five Olympic rings, and jets dance to music several times a day. On warm days children splash and giggle right in the middle of the leaping water.
Olympic History
Atlanta hosted athletes from all over the world for the 1996 Summer Olympics, and this park was the happy heart of the games. Bricks in the ground carry names and messages from people who helped celebrate that special summer.

The park sits next to the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, and a huge Ferris wheel called SkyView. Families can spend a whole day walking from one exciting attraction to the next.
