Mystic Seaport Museum
Mystic Seaport is a big outdoor museum built to look like a real old-time sailing village along the Mystic River. You can climb aboard tall wooden ships and watch people dressed as sailors and shipbuilders show how life at sea used to be.
It is famous as the largest maritime museum in the United States and home to the Charles W. Morgan, the last wooden whaling ship in the world. Families love wandering the old streets, watching the blacksmith work, and taking a boat ride on the river.
