Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak is one of Colorado's most famous mountains, rising over 14,000 feet near Colorado Springs. You can reach the top by car, by the cog railway, or by a long hike, and the summit has a visitor center with famous doughnuts.

It inspired the song America the Beautiful because of the endless purple-mountain view from the top. Reaching the clouds and seeing four states on a clear day makes it a bucket-list adventure for many families.
