Antelope Canyon
Antelope Canyon is a narrow slot canyon near Page with smooth, swirling walls of orange sandstone. It was shaped by rushing rainwater and wind over thousands of years.
It is one of the most photographed places in the world because of the magical beams of sunlight that pour down from above. Visitors walk through the twisty passages with a Navajo guide who shares its stories.

The wavy walls glow in shades of orange, pink, and purple as light bounces around inside. Around midday, sunbeams shine down like glowing spotlights, making the sand sparkle.

Weather
The canyon is cool and shady inside even when the desert above is hot. Tours only run in dry weather because sudden rain can send water rushing through the narrow passage.
