USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park
This park in Mobile is built around the USS Alabama, a huge World War II battleship that you can climb aboard and explore. There is also a submarine and many airplanes to see.
It is famous because you can walk through the real narrow hallways, bunk rooms, and giant gun turrets of a mighty warship. Families love pretending to be sailors and squeezing through the tight submarine inside.
Explore the Ship
You can go up and down real steel ladders, sit in the captain's chair, and peek inside the big guns. Every level has something new to discover.
Submarine
Right next to the ship is the USS Drum submarine, so tight and cozy that you can imagine living underwater. It shows how brave sailors slept in tiny bunks.
Airplanes
The park has a big hangar full of fighter planes, helicopters, and jets. You can walk under their wings and see how they were painted for war.
