Cheaha State Park
Cheaha State Park sits on top of the highest mountain in Alabama, called Cheaha Mountain. From its stone tower you can see forests rolling out for miles in every direction.
It is famous as the very top of the whole state, a place where you feel like you are standing above the clouds. Hikers and families love the fresh air, the big views, and the pretty rock overlooks.

You can stand on the exact highest spot in Alabama and touch the marker there. A tall stone tower lets you climb even higher for a huge view.

Gentle paths lead to rocky overlooks where you can rest and gaze at the valleys below. Some trails pass tumbling little waterfalls.
