Yankton sits along the wide Missouri River on the southern edge of South Dakota. It was once the capital of the whole Dakota Territory, giving it a proud history.
Play at Lake Yankton and the big Gavins Point Dam, walk across the historic Meridian Bridge, and watch for eagles and pelicans along the river.
