St. Louis

About 280,000 people.

St. Louis

St. Louis sits on the mighty Mississippi River and is home to the famous Gateway Arch, the tallest monument in the whole country. It was once called the gateway to the American West.

You can ride a tram to the top of the Gateway Arch, meet animals at the free St. Louis Zoo, and see a giant playground made of slides and tunnels at the City Museum.

The Gateway Arch

The shiny silver Arch stands 630 feet tall by the river. Tiny trams carry visitors up inside its curve to windows with a view for miles.
