Sparks sits right next to Reno and is known as the Rail City for its train history. It is a cheerful town with a lovely marina lake and lots of family festivals.
You can swim and fish at the Sparks Marina lake, ride rides at the Wild Island water park, and stroll the sunny Victorian Square events. Train fans love the old railroad displays downtown.

This clear blue lake in the middle of town is great for swimming, kayaking, and walking the loop trail around the water. It is a cool oasis on a hot day.
