Minneapolis

About 430,000 people.

Minneapolis

Minneapolis is the biggest city in Minnesota and sits right on the Mississippi River. It is a busy place full of tall buildings, art, music, and lots of lakes right inside the city.

You can walk over the Stone Arch Bridge, splash near Minnehaha Falls, cheer at a Twins baseball game, and visit the giant Minneapolis Institute of Art. Do not miss the Sculpture Garden with its famous giant spoon and cherry!

Lakes & Parks

Minneapolis is called the City of Lakes because it has many pretty lakes like Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet. Families bike, paddle, and picnic all around them in the summer.

Downtown

Downtown has skyscrapers connected by warm glass skyways so people can walk between buildings even on snowy days. There are theaters, museums, and sports arenas to enjoy.
