Gillette

Gillette is in northeast Wyoming and is called the Energy Capital of the Nation because of its coal, oil, and gas. It is a young, growing town with lots of families.

You can splash at the big Campbell County Recreation Center, watch a rodeo at Cam-Plex, and learn how giant machines dig for coal on an energy mine tour.

Energy & Mines

Gillette sits near some of the biggest coal mines in the country, and tours show off enormous trucks and shovels bigger than a house.
