Erie is Pennsylvania's only city on one of the Great Lakes, sitting right on the shore of Lake Erie. Because of that lake it has beautiful beaches and a busy port, which is rare for the state.
You can build sandcastles at Presque Isle State Park, ride the rides at Waldameer amusement park, and see fish and animals at the Erie Zoo. The lake is perfect for swimming in summer and watching big ships.
