Chattanooga sits along a bend in the Tennessee River, surrounded by tall ridges and mountains. It was once a busy railroad town and is now known for its beautiful riverfront.
You can visit the Tennessee Aquarium to see sharks and river fish, ride the steep Incline Railway up Lookout Mountain, and see the waterfall deep inside Ruby Falls cave.

The Aquarium
The Tennessee Aquarium is one of the biggest freshwater aquariums in the world, full of otters, turtles, and even penguins. Kids love watching the giant catfish.

Lookout Mountain
High above the city, Lookout Mountain offers a rock formation called Rock City and huge views. A little train called the Incline Railway climbs the steep slope.
