Casper

Casper sits right in the middle of Wyoming along the North Platte River and is known as the Oil City. It is a friendly hub for shopping, sports, and exploring the outdoors.

You can hike up Casper Mountain, learn about pioneers at the National Historic Trails Center, and float or fish on the river. In winter there is even sledding and skiing nearby.

Parks & Nature

Casper Mountain rises right above town with pine forests, picnic spots, and trails that are great for hiking in summer and sledding in winter.

Pioneer History

Long ago, wagon trains crossed here on the Oregon Trail, and you can follow their story at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center.
