About 148,000 people.

Bridgeport

Bridgeport is the biggest city in Connecticut, sitting right on Long Island Sound. It grew as a busy factory town and was once home to the famous showman P.T. Barnum, who even served as its mayor.

You can meet lions and tigers at Beardsley Zoo, splash at Seaside Park's beach, and learn about circus history at the Barnum Museum.

This is the only zoo in Connecticut, and it is home to Amur tigers, red wolves, playful otters, and a warm rainforest building full of monkeys and birds.

Seaside Park

A long, breezy park along the water where families fly kites, ride bikes, and dig their toes in the sand on a sunny beach.
